Bhaskar and I are usually road-trip people, but this island getaway was a refreshing change, and we loved every bit of it!
Waimea Canyon
Despite a rainy day and cloudy skies, we explored the breathtaking Waimea Canyon which was
wheelchair-accessible. Although the main canyon lookout was hidden behind clouds, we were fortunate to enjoy the incredible scenery from an accessible vista point
ʻŌpaekaʻa Falls
One of the easiest and most rewarding stops of our trip! The beautiful waterfall can be enjoyed from a wheelchair accessible
roadside lookout, without any hiking.

Old Hanapepe Town, and the beautiful coastal drives and lookouts around Princeville and Hanalei Bay.
Our stay at Royal Sonesta Kauaʻi Resort in Lihue was wonderful, and we were especially impressed by its wheelchair accessibility. The spacious grounds,
accessible pathways, and ease of moving around the resort made our stay comfortable and relaxing
The icing on the cake was our helicopter ride with Blue Hawaiian! Their special
transfer lift made it possible for Bhaskar to enjoy this incredible adventure with me. Flying over Jurassic Falls, the majestic Nā Pali Coast, Waimea Canyon, Hanalei Bay, and the stunning coastline was simply unforgettable!
We missed the famous Hawaiian sunset thanks to the clouds, but Kauai more than made up for it!
Lots of sushi, delicious poke, endless fun and above all, the fantastic company of our friends made this trip extra special. A big thank you to them for all the fun, help, and support!
And how could we forget our fun multicolored saree photoshoot! A splash of colors, lots of laughter, and a little desi magic against the beautiful Hawaiian backdrop made it even more memorable
